Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad
GRADE LEVEL: K-5
This is a second-grade project about the life and accomplishments of Harriet Tubman, highlighting her work on the Underground Railroad. The Web site comes from a second-grade class that which studied Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and became inspired to create this project. This is a fine example of young students developing and producing a class project for other students to enjoy.

Legend of Captain Dave
GRADE LEVEL: 2-6
This is an online Internet hunt. Users must follow the story of Captain Dave and answer questions about pirates along the way. This site comes from a public library in Pennsylvania. This is a great way to introduce students to navigating the Internet. History teachers will do well using this site as part of an interactive lesson plan.

The Web site has flashcards, math problems, and games -- all with the intent of increasing mathematical knowledge. Users will also find a section for math homework help.This is a great way to teach math to students because they will be having fun while they are learning and they'll want to learn more. Individual lesson plans could be built around the site or students could visit the site on their own to improve their math skills.

Thousand Cranes Peace Network
This is the Web site supporting a project designed to deliver 1 million folded paper cranes to the Children's Monument in the Peace Park in Hiroshima, Japan. This site is the home page of the Thousand Crane Peace Network, which is based on the story of Sadako Sasaki. This could be a great project for social studies, history or cultural studies classes.
