Continuing Education Committee


Charge

Seek and facilitate statewide opportunities for continuing education and professional growth within the field of librarianship.

  • Priority audience: CAL members and CAL Interest Groups
  • Geographic focus: Underserved areas of the state

The CAL Continuing Education Committee facilitates continuing education by assisting workshop presenters with:

  • Identifying workshop locations
  • Scheduling workshops so they don't conflict with other local CE events
  • Managing online registration and on-site support the day of the workshop
  • Effectively advertizing workshops
  • Understanding CAL's workshop fee structure and other budget considerations that may impact the scope of a workshop
  • Complying with CAL rules for workshops
