Users will find science, language arts, geography, and craft pages, among others.This is a great resource for preschool and kindergarten teachers and students. History:

Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad

GRADE LEVEL: K-5
This is a second-grade project about the life and accomplishments of Harriet Tubman, highlighting her work on the Underground Railroad. The Web site comes from a second-grade class that which studied Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and became inspired to create this project. This is a fine example of young students developing and producing a class project for other students to enjoy.

Legend of Captain Dave
GRADE LEVEL: 2-6
This is an online Internet hunt. Users must follow the story of Captain Dave and answer questions about pirates along the way. This site comes from a public library in Pennsylvania. This is a great way to introduce students to navigating the Internet. History teachers will do well using this site as part of an interactive lesson plan.

The Gander Academy is a great resource on thematic teaching using the Internet. The site has an extensive list of topics with link lists that include general information, teacher resources, and student projects.

A+ Math
GRADE LEVEL: 2-9
The Web site has flashcards, math problems, and games -- all with the intent of increasing mathematical knowledge. Users will also find a section for math homework help.This is a great way to teach math to students because they will be having fun while they are learning and they'll want to learn more. Individual lesson plans could be built around the site or students could visit the site on their own to improve their math skills.

Thousand Cranes Peace Network
This is the Web site supporting a project designed to deliver 1 million folded paper cranes to the Children's Monument in the Peace Park in Hiroshima, Japan. This site is the home page of the Thousand Crane Peace Network, which is based on the story of Sadako Sasaki. This could be a great project for social studies, history or cultural studies classes.

This Web site was developed to teach about bats and was designed especially for children. The site has extensive information on the species. Students reporting on bats or educators preparing a lesson on the species will have a good source of information here.

The Intelligent Child (TM) Web site was created by the Intelligent Child (TM) educational software company to promote science education. Users can play games, pose questions, or try experiments. This is an appealing site for elementary science students and educators.

World Kids Network
GRADE LEVEL: K-12
World Kids Network is an awesome site run mostly by kids for kids. It includes chat rooms, clubs, mailing lists, news, an art gallery, an area for girls, a chat forum, games, puzzles, and a school service. The site also teaches kids about Internet etiquette and safety. World Kids Network (WKN) is over 80% kid generated.

Kids Farm (from Colorado)
GRADE LEVEL: K-3
The site has information and resources about farms and farm animals. The site comes from the Kids Farm ranches in Colorado. This is an excellent site for elementary educators looking for a complete unit about farms.

GRADE LEVEL: K-8
This is the sister site to the SNOW (Special Needs Opportunity Windows) Web site. SNOW Kids has information for special needs children and their teachers and parents. The parent SNOW (Special Needs Opportunity Windows) Web site was created to provide ways for special needs children to electronically access curriculum materials.
